Corporate Social Responsibility
Our sense of responsibility
Ethical requirements with regard to environmental protection are important in the automotive sector. Arval meets such an obligation to provide information and keep an environmental watch, as illustrated by the Corporate Vehicle Observatory. Arval Jiutong also proposes sustainable solutions to limit the negative impact stemming from client needs in terms of mobility.
Proposing clean and energy-effective vehicles for Green fleets
As a result of our technical expertise, we are highly active in advising and assisting our clients when choosing vehicles. We offer added value by way of comparative analysis on the different market models in terms of consumption and pollution.
Organising sustainable mobility
We advise our clients on how to organise the movement of employees and equipment more effectively to ensure a better quality of life for employees, while also controlling costs and limiting fuel consumption.
Driving and vehicle maintenance present a number of opportunities for actions that are both clever and responsible. Eco-driving means taking drivers into account in the role they play in the fight against the warming of our planet and in saving energy.
Creating awareness on responsible action
Arval Jiutong encourages its employees to take part in preserving our environment each and every day. A guide on eco-responsible practices in companies has been established. To illustrate our serious commitment to this cause, we assist our clients in their environment-friendly actions as well.
Preventing road accidents
By relying on the analysis of the number of accidents recorded for our own professional vehicle fleet, Arval has designed a ‘‘prevention’’ offer tailored to the needs of the clients in a large number of countries. Arval Jiutong will implement this offer in China as well.
Beyond the human aspect, prevention also represents a profitable investment for companies. It helps them optimise all direct and indirect costs linked to ‘‘Car Insurance’’. Arval is drawing up a prevention plan to detect savings and strengthen corporate effectiveness. Arval Jiutong will implement this plan in China later.
Adopting good citizenship practices
Arval Jiutong’s approach in this area is focused on helping those that are disabled while also centred on major issues concerning social life.
This is illustrated in different ways:
- True participation with associations helping paralysed individuals and schools for children with disabilities by offering discounts and vehicle loans, financial aid and the provision of equipment, aid, computer donations, etc.
- Much thought has been given and group work centred on how to optimise the recruitment of people with a disability within Arval Jiutong and client companies.
- Employee participation in major actions: blood donation, telethons, fair trade, etc.
